Most install and job failures come down to permissions, disk, or incomplete archives.
Export fails or stalls on a large site
Confirm PHP memory and max execution time aren’t extremely low, ensure uploads are writable, and retry. NBH Backup uses chunked jobs — leave the progress modal open until it completes or reports an error.
“Cookie check failed” during deploy or restore
Your session may have been interrupted while database tables were rewritten. Sign out/in, then retry. Always keep a fresh export before deploying staging to production.
wp-admin says I’m not allowed after a deploy
Capability keys may still use a staging table prefix. Re-export from a known-good backup if needed, or contact support with your table prefix. Prefer deploying only after a successful local staging test.
Site redirects to a staging URL
home / siteurl may still point at /nbh-stg-…. Restore a pre-deploy backup or set both options back to your production URL, then clear caches.
Import upload rejects the file
Use a genuine .nbh archive from NBH Backup. Check PHP upload and post size limits, then try Import from URL if the file is hosted publicly.
Still stuck? Include WordPress version, PHP version, host type, and whether WooCommerce or Multisite is active when you write in.
